Suitable Candidates:
Veneers are suitable for most people; however, those with the conditions below may not be suitable candidates:
- Those with naturally smaller teeth caused by acid erosion or genetic factors resulting in smaller teeth/spacing between the teeth
- Those with discrepancies between jaw and tooth size may not be suitable
- Those with ‘Peg Laterals’ a very common condition where the teeth are genetically misshapen / smaller may also not be suitable candidates.

There is also a type of crown made from Lithium Disilicate. Lithium Disciliate crowns are made from a single block of material which makes them a very durable restorative crown material. E-max crowns are slightly translucent and hence come closest to matching natural tooth colour making them a very popular choice.

During the procedure, a rubber dam is put over your teeth to protect your gums, and a bleaching agent is painted onto your teeth. A UV light or laser is then projected onto the teeth to activate the chemical bleaching process. Clinical trials have shown that better results are attained by using this process. The use of UV / laser light speeds up the reaction of the whitening agent which means the desired look can be achieved faster. The results from this process have proven to lighten teeth up to size shades lighter in just two sittings.
